Wigtown Bay at Night
An amazing footage of the night sky and stars reflecting in the Wigtown Bay waters captured by Colin Tennant from CT Production. The idea came from SCAMP community engagement events in the Wigtown area, from locals who are passionate about their environment and landscape that surrounds them. The Solway Firth contains 25% of Scotland's saltmarsh, locally called "Merse". It provides a nature based solution to mitigate storm sures and rising sea levels on the coast. It stores carbon and supports a huge range of plants and animals. It is essential we help saltmarshes recover from previous historic damage and with rising sea levels our saltmarsh is under thread. SCAMP will work with landowners to help mitigate the coastal squeeze ensuring that's this incredibly important habitat can extend inwards as sea levels rise. Immerse yourself in the magic of the saltmarsh!
