Dziwnow from a drone | Dziwnow from the bird's eye view | Poland ▸ Dziwnow is an attractive seaside town situated between the Baltic Sea in the north and the Kamieński Lagoon and the Wrzosowska Bay in the south. This town is famous for its unique steel drawbridge connecting the mainland with the island of Wolin. The process of lifting the bridge is so spectacular that it is a real tourist attraction. In the summer season, the fishing port and the passenger harbor attract tourists like a magnet, where cruises are organized, whether to the sea or to the nearby Kamień Pomorski. On the harbor quay, there is a majestic anchor-shaped monument to commemorate those who lost their lives at sea. A place worth visiting is the miniature park. You can see there both miniature versions of the lighthouse from the Polish coast and replicas of locomotives, steam locomotives and railway carriages. Dziwnów is an ideal place for people who like active leisure. There are kilometers of bicycle paths connecting Dziwnów with nearby seaside towns and attractions. The variety of water bodies makes it possible to practice countless water sports, from kayaks, sails to water skiing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. Young and old alike, those eager for a little different kind of adventure are invited to the newly opened rope park. On cloudy days, a sports and entertainment hall awaits the active. A place that should not be missed by any tourist is the famous Alley of Sports Stars with pedestals with replicas of medals of Polish sportsmen. Periodically, every August, the Sports Stars Festival is organized, during which meetings with Polish champions and Olympians, music concerts and numerous accompanying events are held. It is also then that the ceremonial unveiling of the next replicas of the medals takes place. However, the greatest advantage of Dziwnów is the beach - clean, very wide with almost white, fine sand. It is separated from the city by a strip of dunes, on the ridge of which runs a beautiful seaside promenade.
