I Built a Custom Motorcycle Air Cleaner from Scratch | DIY Fabrication
In this video, I build a custom motorcycle air cleaner from scratch using basic shop tools, MIG welding, hammer forming, machining, and a lot of trial and error. Instead of buying an off-the-shelf air cleaner, I decided to fabricate my own base plate, cover, carb support bracket, and custom breather bolts. This project includes welding thin 18-gauge metal, laying out and cutting the carb inlet, forming the air cleaner cover with an air hammer, building a carb retainer bracket, and machining homemade breather bolts with filter material and screen inserts. Could I have bought something similar for under $100? Probably. But building it myself was the whole point. Thanks for watching, and I’ll catch you in the next one.
