It is a grand expedition starting from Tilicho Base Camp, passing through Shir Kharka and Yak Kharka, and finally crossing Thorong La Pass at an altitude of 5,416 meters. On the way to High Camp, overcoming the challenges of altitude sickness, I shared deep conversations with my porter, Ram, who silently stood by my side amidst the fierce winds. Listening to the weighty trajectory of his life—how he risked his life climbing up and down utility poles in the Langtang region for a meager daily wage of 20,000 won—I felt the weight of the Himalayas once again. After crossing the pass that seemed endless, I was greeted by the sacred Muktinath Temple.
