Rebel Wilson and Dan Stevens Interview: Night at the Museum 3 and More

In Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb all is well until Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) notices that the magical tablet that brings the exhibits to life at night is withering away. Ahkmenrah (Rami Malek) doesn’t know how to restore it, but he thinks his father might. Trouble is, he’s on display in London, and that’s where franchise newcomers Rebel Wilson and Dan Stevens step in. Wilson’s Tilly is the night guard on duty who’s got no clue what’s about to go down when Larry brings that tablet inside, like Sir Lancelot coming to life. Stevens’ Lancelot is eager to help the Museum of Natural History gang save the day, but he also gets a bit distracted by his determination to find his Guinevere. With Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb due in theaters on December 19th, I got the opportunity to sit down with Wilson and Stevens to discuss their experience making the film including how they shot a scene that takes place in an M.C. Escher lithograph, what it was like working with Ben Stiller as Larry vs. Ben Stiller as Laaa the caveman, Wilson’s high hopes for Pitch Perfect 2 and more.
