Quote Finalization and Amendment Tracking

Karana CPQ handles product configuration and line item pricing — and connects directly to HubSpot CommerceHub for generating the final quote document your client signs. This video covers the full finalization flow: from previewing a quote with margin intelligence, to generating a HubSpot quote, to tracking and communicating every amendment made along the way. Clicking Finalize opens a full rendering of the quote, including margin data at the line and deal level. Cost and margin are displayed where entered, and the system uses your HubSpot portal's default currency while supporting multi-currency quoting through price book overlays. Once finalized, the quote is written to HubSpot and opens directly in the HubSpot quote editor — with all line items, quantities, prices, discounts, and configuration descriptions pulled across automatically. If parties or companies are associated to the deal, they're attached to the quote automatically. For amended quotes, the CPQ generates a detailed amendment history on the quote document — showing what was added, changed, or removed between versions, with delta values for price changes. Each line item includes a configuration description generated by the formatter system (fully customizable). Approval flows configured in the CPQ carry through into HubSpot's native approval process — so CPQ-triggered approvals don't bypass HubSpot's existing controls. The Amendment Difference, History, Compare, and Change Log tabs give full traceability across every version — compare any two versions, generate a complete change log between them, and see the exact delta for any field that changed.
