In this video, we will explore the Biggest Tram Network in Japan, with some rather interesting history. このビデオでは、日本最大の路面電車網とその興味深い歴史を探っていきます。 The Hiroshima tram network commenced operations in 1910, building up a fleet of 123 Trams prior to World War II. In 1945, during World War II, Hiroshima was the first of the 2 Japanese cities that was attacked by an atomic bomb, which flattened the city, destroying & damaging the majority of the tram fleet in the process. 広島の路面電車網は1910年に運行を開始し、第二次世界大戦前には123両の路面電車を保有していた。1945年、第二次世界大戦中、広島は原子爆弾の攻撃を受けた日本の2つの都市のうち最初の都市となり、街は壊滅的な被害を受け、路面電車の大部分も破壊または損傷した。 In the modern era, Hiroden (Hiroshima's Tram Company) operates a very mixed & interesting fleet of over 270 trams, which range from trams that survived the 1945 atomic bomb attack, to a large number of mid 20th century trams from other Japanese cities, to Siemens Combino trams!
