Nanda Ghunti Expedition | EP 2 | Roopkund, Junargali Pass & Sheela Samudra Day 2 of our Nanda Ghunti Expedition. Starting from Pathar Nachni, we moved through Bhagwabasa, reached Roopkund (5,029 m / 16,499 ft), crossed Junargali Pass (5,150 m / 16,896 ft), and descended into the vast glacial basin of Sheela Samudra. For many trekkers, Roopkund marks the destination. For us, it was only a waypoint on the way deeper into the Nanda Ghunti region. This section of the route connects some of the most iconic landscapes in the Garhwal Himalaya, from the mystery lake of Roopkund to the high mountain terrain beyond Junargali, eventually opening into the remote expanse of Sheela Samudra beneath Trishul and Nanda Ghunti.
