Nanda Ghunti Expedition | EP 5 | Route Finding on the Southwest Face Day 5 of our Nanda Ghunti Alpine Expedition. Leaving Advanced Base Camp behind, we moved onto the glacier below the southwest face of Mt. Nanda Ghunti. The objective for the day was to assess conditions on the mountain, study possible routes, and move higher into the upper mountain terrain. With fresh snowfall, changing weather and the vast glacier system beneath the face, every decision demanded patience and careful judgement. This was one of the most challenging and rewarding days of the expedition, offering a closer look at the mountain and the realities of climbing in the high Himalaya.
