English Made Record 92 Pipe Vice Restoration - 4K

This is my restoration of an early (English made) Record 92 pipe vice. I’ve not been able to find much information referencing the approximate date. I’m guessing it’s an early version of this type of vice as the handle is in a ‘T’ shape. Newer versions don’t appear to have this design. If anyone has any knowledge on these types of vices, I’d love for you to share in the comments. l’m very pleased to have brought this vice back to a smooth working condition. Everything came apart nicely. The only piece that needed replacing was the ‘pin’ that held on the locking arm. This was made from an old bolt, sanding it down to size, cold bluing, and then cutting a thread. This small modification will allow for an even easier disassembly in the future. Although the original colour appears to be the usual ‘Record blue’, I’m happy with the red finish.
