¿Quiénes somos los argentinos y las argentinas? | Mariano Nagy | TEDxSaintGregory'sCollege

How was Argentine identity constructed? Mariano explores the most common prejudices about our identity and deconstructs them with humor. Mariano is a CONICET researcher, Professor, and holds a PhD in History from the University of Buenos Aires. Mariano Nagy was born and lives in Munro, is a professor and holds a PhD in History from the University of Buenos Aires, where he teaches, and is a CONICET researcher. He is passionate about sports, a fan of Independiente, and a follower of Del Potro. Regarding his age, using a football metaphor, he says he's finishing the first half, that he was happy as a child watching the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, and that he hasn't been to the hairdresser in over two decades. Ideologically, he defines himself as contradictory and eclectic, and true to these principles, he firmly supports veganism, loves eating barbecues (always with a good wine), and admits to not even agreeing with it. His favorite phrase is "I'm neither for nor against, on the contrary." Like Joaquín, he confesses that he's neither thrilled nor regretful about having met. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
