We actually only wanted to ride the Shafer Trail, a fairly easy off-road tour, but things turned out differently. Arriving at Canyonlands National Park, we researched the White Rim Road, over 100 km of off-road gravel road. We quickly decided to do it! Was that the right decision? Ever since we fell in love in 2017, we knew that we wanted to travel for a longer period of time, at some point, somehow. We soon discovered the possibilities of van life – the perfect combination of habit and adventure for both of us. Taking your home with you? AMAZING! After a few months of searching, we found our beloved VW T4 – later named Gunther by a Croatian working in Slovenia – on eBay. A few nervous breakdowns and years later, we're finally making our dream come true. We're packing up camp in Germany and living full-time in a bus on the Pan-American Highway! The plan is to drive from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, taking as many detours as possible – until we run out of money or diesel. How far do you think we'll get?
