The intelligence agency clarified that there was a prior conspiracy among officials from regulatory agencies, involving employees of the State Tax Service, Border Service personnel, employees of the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety, and employees of the State Inspectorate for Weight and Dimension Control under the Ministry of Transport. "In the area of ​​operation of the Chaldovar-Avtodorozhny checkpoint, officials from the tax service, the border service, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Agriculture, in collusion with certain so-called 'pushers,' created a corrupt scheme to illegally import (smuggle) goods from EAEU member states," the intelligence agency reported. For the import, the State Committee for National Security added, fictitious shipping documents were used, which distorted the actual volume and value of the imported goods. A criminal case was opened under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (corruption). The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) discovered that Kyrgyz citizens Zh.N.T., Sh.u.K. (a member of the local council in the village of Chaldovar), T.K.E., and a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, T.E.N., registered the companies OOO TD Zhorgo and OOO Radiant to illegally import goods from EAEU member states using forged documents and systematically bribing government officials. The amount of illegal remuneration paid to government officials ranged from 5,000 to 7,000 soms. "According to the information received, government officials are collecting 80,000 soms daily from the Chaldovar Avtodorozhny checkpoint. This corruption scheme has caused multimillion-dollar damage to the republic's budget," the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) added. The GKNB Chairman, according to the special service, said similar reports of corruption are being received at other checkpoints, such as the Ak-Zhol Avtodorozhny and Ak-Tilek Avtodorozhny checkpoints in the Chui region.
