According to the head of the GKNB, he returned from a business trip yesterday and was immediately informed that a package containing a letter had arrived through his post office. It is unknown from whom or how the letter arrived on his desk. He initially tore it apart, but then had to reassemble it. The package was inscribed "Personally to Kamchybek Kydyrshaevich" several times and was folded two or three times. Inside was an envelope containing a flash drive, Tashiev said. "It won't be difficult to identify those who left this letter. An investigation is underway at the direction of the president," he emphasized. Tashiev, noting that this is the second time he's shown it to reporters; the first time he showed it to the president, described its contents. At the direction of the president, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Committee for National Security have been tasked with this task. If anything were to happen to me, the President, or our families, everyone should know this information. The letter states that I must fulfill certain conditions so they won't destroy me or my family. There are direct threats. It's clear that this is the methodology of some intelligence agency, a security officer, and he's been heavily paid by businessmen and criminal bosses. They weighed my safety and that of my family against their wishes. When I began the fight against organized crime and others, I knew such threats would come. I knew they would pressure me to abandon the fight. That won't happen. I'm not afraid of you. You should be afraid of me. I joined the fight for the good of the people. I didn't take the millions you offered me. You're angry because you won't be in our country. There will be no criminals or oligarchy. If you destroy me, all of this will come back. You might harm me. But as long as I'm alive, I won't turn back. The "war" with these people continues. Our country will become a law-abiding, democratic country. We won't fall behind other countries. We are being hindered, but there is progress in the economy. This isn't enough, and this is only the beginning," Tashiev said.
