The Kreft family from Pomerania isn't afraid to introduce innovations to their impressive farm, which has a total area of ​​900 hectares and a closed-loop breeding farm for 1,500 sows, which is still being expanded. In recent years, two biogas plants, each with a capacity of 499 kW, have been built at the farms. Thanks to these, the farm has ceased to have problems with local residents, who were bothered by the stench of manure spread on the fields. In addition to the odor-neutral digestate, the biogas plants heat the farm and generate electricity. "The loan is being repaid, so there's hope," says Wojciech Kreft. Another innovation at the farm is the coal program, which the family joined in April. Thanks to the certificates, approximately PLN 500,000 is expected to be transferred to the family's account next year.
