This is an all standing Pilates workout with light weights. Class is pregnancy-friendly, and I'll cue for pregnancy, but great work in here for everyone! Watch a quick preview of class here: • All standing Pilates for pregnancy workout... CLASS DESCRIPTION: We start with a warm up, and move into a flow for balance, lower body, and back. Our next flow focuses in on shoulders and functional core. We then center off and cool down. ------- I don't want to label this a second trimester Pilates class because every pregnancy is so different—you absolutely may be comfortable doing the movements in this class throughout your third trimester as well. For reference though, I am 23 weeks along in this video. EQUIPMENT NEEDED: —Light hand weights/wrist weights (I'm using 2lbs) I'm so excited to share prenatal Pilates workouts with you all throughout my pregnancy! In addition to being a STOTT trained Pilates Instructor, I am a Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (certified through CES). So you're in good hands! That being said, I'm not there in the room with you to form-correct and give individual guidance. You should always consult with your doctor before partaking in a new form of movement. If anything doesn't feel right with your body or causes pain, stop.
