By JC Hammer (Imp USA), out of Craiglea Ruby. Bee’s sire, JC Hammer is owned by Ian Cox at Inverell NSW. He was recently imported into Australia from the USA. He is a big, leggy, smooth coated Border Collie, with a pedigree full of popular US cow dog genetics. He works cattle well, and will be cattle dog trialled this year. Hammer also has a progeny incentive for those interested in cattle dog trialling. Bee’s dam, Craiglea Ruby is 7 years old, and been a very reliable work dog. She has spent her life working cattle, sheep and feral goats, including cows and calves. She has won and placed in many cattle dog trials. She recently represented QLD in the winning State of Origin team at the Australian Cattle Dog Championships at Casino. She bites the nose and is very trainable. We have successfully sold several of Ruby’s progeny via auction, including Craiglea Ross (AI), who is a ½ brother to Bee. Ross topped the 2024 AWSDA Winter sale as a yearling. Ruby is by Swan Spud, an outstanding all-round work and trial dog. 2 x Australian Working Cattle Dog of the Year, among many other achievements. Bee has a friendly temperament. Smooth coat, traditionally marked tri colour. Bee has one blue eye. Bee has been started on sheep. She is 14 weeks old in the video, and that is her fourth look at sheep. She will have just turned four months old on sale day. We will give her a few more sessions on sheep between now and sale day, to keep her stimulated, and to develop her keenness. She is very keen on the sheep, and has progressed easily in the few sessions she has had. Bee is leading and can tie up. She doesn’t reliably come to her name yet, but she is learning and improving. Bee is a nice, keen pup with a good temperament. She is from great working parents, and is a clean slate ready to go on with. All enquiries welcome and encouraged.
