Perineal Tears Repair (First and Second-Degree) | TOACS / OSCE Station
The first- and second-degree perineal tear repair have been explained in this video. How to Repair a Second-Degree Vaginal Laceration needs deep understanding. The requirements of good repair include adequate lightening, chromic or polyglactin suture and adequate analgesia. Usually, the first-degree tear does not require stiches, but the repair of second-degree tear is done like an episiotomy repair. Most of the First-Degree tears close spontaneously without sutures and some will simply require one or two interrupted sutures. Repair of the second-degree tear is sutured in layers by opposing the vaginal mucosa, perineal muscles and skin. After doing proper repair of tear proper rectal examination is done to make sure that no stiches are in the rectum. #perinealtear #perinealtearrepair #perinealtear classification #secondaryamenorrhearepairofperinealtear #perinealbodyrepair #perineallacerationrepair #perinealtearsrepair #episiotomy #perinealtrauma #1stdegreetear #2nddegreetear #1stdegreeperinealtrauma #2nddegreeperinealtrauma ------------------------------------------------------------------- This Channel is providing knowledge in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
