The new action-adventure game from MachineGames, published by Bethesda Softworks, is coming to the Nintendo Switch, and in this article, I check how the port performs on portable devices and whether the film's atmosphere of Indiana Jones' adventures has been retained. In this article, I discuss: the game's setting and atmosphere, location exploration and puzzles, combat and stealth, graphics and performance, the Order of Giants add-on, handheld gameplay, and differences from the PS5, Xbox, and PC versions. The game's action is set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. The main character is, of course, Indiana Jones, an archaeologist and adventurer who finds himself on the trail of a mysterious force connected to the Great Circle. The story takes the player through various corners of the world – from ruins and temples to cities and underground complexes filled with secrets and threats. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle combines exploration, environmental puzzles, stealth elements, and dynamic action sequences. During the game, players explore open locations filled with secrets, solve archaeological puzzles, engage in hand-to-hand combat, wield a revolver, and use a whip, sneak, evade enemies, and uncover secrets related to the Great Circle. A strong emphasis was placed on the adventure cinematic feel and cinematic presentation of the events. In this review, I examine how the game performs on the Nintendo Switch 2 – graphic quality, animation stability, cartridge loading times, and the overall comfort of playing in both handheld and docked modes.
