In this episode, Louisa sits down with Ara Keshishian, a producer and founder of ZQ Entertainment, a development and production company behind a range of film and television projects. He began his career at CAA as a motion picture agent, where he worked with major talent including Natalie Portman, Antonio Banderas, Kate Hudson, Kerry Washington, and Liev Schreiber, and helped package and develop films such as Black Swan, Margin Call, Iron Man, Captain America, and Marley and Me. As a producer, he’s worked on films including Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, Kidnap, Z for Zachariah, and Locked starring Anthony Hopkins. He has also helped raise over $100 million in financing for films and is currently developing many upcoming film and television projects. In this conversation, Ara shares insights into his journey from law to Hollywood, his time at CAA, working with top talent, and what it really takes to develop and produce films in today’s industry.
