My cat was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease last year. This week, he was diagnosed with left side congestive heart failure. He was put on medication this week to see if he would respond by the time his follow-up appointment came the following Friday. Unfortunately, there has been no improvement, and with no cardiologist being available soon enough, and his condition worsening with new symptoms, it is time to say goodbye next week.
