Full send for a 5k pb... can I finally gain that elusive sub 17 or even break into 16:?? @yeovilton

Yeovilton 5k - 10/06/26 Hi all and welcome back to the channel. So tonight I am taking part in race number 3 in the Yeovilton summer series having previously completed the first two races in the series, and I have done this race dozens of times over the years, so know exactly what to expect. For those that follow my channel, you will know that i ran a 5k pb last month in race 2 of 17:25, having ran 17:38 in race 1 which was also a course PB, but not 5k pb, and standing on the starting line today was hopefully of a quick time, as there was lots of very fast runners and actually lots that will be or I am expecting to be around my target time. The course is a single loop starting and finishing opposite the royal navy fleet air arm museum, there are no turns only sweeping corners, and the course is very flat, and as a result it is also very fast. The conditions tonight were far from perfect, and almost identical to last month where there were areas of strong wind, that were blowing around. Due to issues with distance at previous races here, I decided to set the distance on my watch for estimated finish of 5:05 kilometers so basically 5k and 50 meters, just to make sure that it doesnt show me a time that is wrong, and I get disappointed when I cross the line and see the results.
