UPDATE: Demolition begins in Negishi

'Thanks to Yui Shiraishi, an alert member of the Negishi Heights Facebook group, we learned recently that the bulldozers and backhoes have begun the long anticipated demolition of Negishi Heights. The 105-acre Navy housing reverted to the Japanese in 2015. It stood as a virtual ghost town since, falling into disrepair and overgrowth. Another alert FB member, Gen Tokky, also learned through a local newspaper Yokohama city officials' long-term plans for redevelopment of Negishi Heights.
