Mario 8 vs. BOB57 Showdown – FPV Long Range Test with 4000mAh Li-Ion

Here we go again with another long-range FPV drone comparison! After building and successfully testing the Speedybee Mario 8, I wanted to see how it stacks up against my well-trusted iFlight Bob57 in a real-world long-range scenario — both flying with the same 4000mAh lithium-ion battery. For this test, I chose a beautiful mountain ridge and flew both drones along the same line under the same conditions. The Bob57 runs the DJI O3 air unit, while the Mario 8 is equipped with the newer O4 system — and the difference in video quality and range is immediately noticeable. ⚙️ Flight Highlights: Testing video signal: O3 vs O4 Battery consumption comparison Throttle and efficiency observations Flight performance and handling differences Real-world flight time and recharge values Although both drones delivered similar flight times, the Mario 8 had to carry more weight — including a heavier GoPro Mini — and still kept up with the Bob57.
