ドブロブニク2日目 / 東欧5カ国周遊!ユーゴスラビア圏への旅!ブルガリア、セルビア、ボスニア、クロアチア、ハンガリーを巡る
I traveled from Dubrovnik and arrived in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. I was a little confused about buying a tram ticket, but I eventually paid using an app and boarded. Many locals boarded and alighted smoothly without going through ticket gates, and it was interesting to observe the cultural differences in how people use the trams. At intersections, the driver himself would get off and switch the tracks using an analog method, a sight that gave me a sense of the city's tradition. Walking around Jelačić Square in the city center, I discovered a large underground market. There was an abundance of meat and bread, with croissants costing around 0.9 euros, or about 160 yen. The atmosphere above ground was somewhat calmer, but the underground market was incredibly lively. One of the purposes of this trip was to visit vintage clothing stores, and I visited several fascinating shops. Vintage prices in Zagreb seem a bit high overall, with leather jackets around 70 to 100 euros and T-shirts around 40 euros. However, I had an unexpected find at a shop called Small Antiques. The shop owner is a professional photographer who usually shoots opera photos, and he sells his watch collection, which he collects as a hobby, at prices lower than market value. I was able to purchase a 1960s Omega Seamaster 600 here for approximately 33,000 yen. At another vintage shop, I picked up an Italian military motorcycle coat and a very heavy morning coat that appeared to be about 100 years old. The price of 150 euros was very interesting considering its historical value. In a sports shop, Adidas full-leather SLs were selling for 110 euros, and a uniform of the local team, Dinamo Zagreb, was around 100 euros, giving a glimpse into the local cost of living. What I strongly felt while walking around the city was the boundary between religion and ethnicity. Mosques and people wearing hijabs, which I saw so often in Sarajevo, became almost nonexistent once I entered Croatia. It was an experience that made me feel firsthand the complex history of the former Yugoslavia region and the differences in national identity. I enjoyed Zagreb's unique scenery, such as the beautiful tiled roof of St. Mark's Church, a symbol of Zagreb, and the cable car, said to be the shortest in the world. Walking around Zagreb, enjoying the changes in prices and culture, was full of discoveries. When you visit Croatia, be sure to check out the lively underground markets and the vintage shops hidden in the back alleys. #Croatia #Zagreb #VintageShopping #Vintage #AntiqueWatches #Omega #Seamaster #CityWalk #WorldTour #Backpacker #EasternEuropeTravel #FormerYugoslavia #OverseasTravel --- Hello, this is kurakurakurarin!
