Giovanni Battiloro, 29, dreams of continuing to be a videographer and journalist his entire life, as he walks across the Morandi Bridge with his friends. After yet another year of precarious employment, he decided to leave on August 14th for Barcelona with three friends, departing from Torre del Greco, a city on the slopes of Vesuvius where he was born and raised. What the four young men don't know is that as they cross that highway viaduct in Genoa, the bridge will collapse, shattering their young lives. A year later, Giovanni's father, Roberto, is not giving up and is demanding justice and truth. "Since that moment," he explained to Fanpage.it, "a year has passed and our search for truth and justice has not abated. Ours is not a useless obsession or a stimulus to move forward; it is a demand for a just cause: to know why in a country a young man on vacation must die on a collapsing bridge."
