Green Circle Trail Ride + Matt’s Weight Loss Story (and a UFO?!)

Today we’re back in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, wrapping up my visit to the amazing Hostel Shoppe with a beautiful ride on the Green Circle Trail. This trail is one of the best in the region—smooth, winding, scenic, and perfect for recumbent trikes. Jessie from Hostel Shoppe led the ride, and we were joined by several local riders who regularly hit these routes. One rider, Matt, shared an incredible and personal story with me on the path. Over the past few years, he’s transformed his health, lost weight, rebuilt confidence, and found joy through riding his trike. His experience is something so many recumbent riders can relate to—mobility, comfort, community, and empowerment. I’m grateful he opened up and allowed his journey to be part of this episode.
