Episode 1. Into the Dry, Clouds, Cattle & Dirt Roads

Dave and I met up in Boonah before heading off into a landscape that felt like it changed every hour. We climbed through cloud-covered mountain ranges, winding our way past rolling green pastures and roaming cattle before the country slowly turned dry and harsh. The further west we rode, the more the drought revealed itself. Creeks were empty, paddocks were dust bowls, and the countryside carried the weight of one of the harshest dry spells in recent memory. But this is exactly where adventure riding comes alive. Endless dirt roads, isolation, changing landscapes, and the freedom of not knowing what was around the next corner.
