Lecce Italy - Best Things to Do in Puglia's Baroque Beauty

Join us while we show you the highs, lows and everything in between in Puglia's baroque beauty. We visited the ancient Roman amphitheater, discovered during construction of a bank. Located nearby is the castle of Charles V, now a cultural center. The MUST (Museo Storico della Città di Lecce), located in a former 15th-century monastery is a art and archeological museum. We enjoyed amazing views of the city, surrounding areas and even Albania from the 72 meter high Duomo Bell Tower. Wandering through the maze of underground passageways and roof top viewpoint of the Faggiano museum was one of the most interesting experiences of our visit. The tour of the Jewish Museum was very professional and informative. We also happened upon a foundling wheel. Perhaps our favorite thing to do in Lecce was wander the streets and enjoy the wonderful architecture and, of course, eat local specialities...especially the orecchiette!
