Authorities recently captured Cecilia Norma Riveros Caballero, a former executive of Autores Paraguayos Asociados (APA), after nearly a decade on the run. She served as an auditor within the organization and was convicted for her involvement in a multi-million dollar embezzlement scheme exceeding 2 billion guaraníes. According to the prosecution's investigation, the criminal scheme involved concealing documents and granting purported social contributions to individuals who were not even connected to the arts. The arrest operation took place in the city of San Antonio following an intelligence operation that led to her location.
