A journey aboard TfW's brand new Class 398 Tram-Trains! Cardiff Bay to Pontypridd (23rd June 2026)
The first of my two surprise additional videos released this week. Filmed on Tuesday 23rd June 2026, the day the Transport for Wales(TfW) Class 398 Tram-Trains finally entered service! Well just one of them entered service on this day - unit 398028 on a "soft launch". More are expected to enter service on the Valley lines network over the coming weeks. This video features a full uncut end to end journey from Cardiff Bay to Pontypridd. Our journey is scheduled to take 32 minutes. The video featuring the return journey from Pontypridd back to Cardiff Bay will be released this Thursday at 7pm.
