Beebe Healthcare Holds Press Conference on Recent Surge in Overdoses

Beebe Healthcare leaders held a press conference Wednesday, May 1, to discuss the recent surge in drug overdoses in Sussex County. Delaware State Police and the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services recently issued an urgent safety advisory. Beebe Healthcare has seen an increase in emergency department volumes since April 26 due to these drug overdoses in our community, and we are taking steps to treat these extremely ill patients and reach out to the communities we serve to provide resources like Narcan Points of Distribution (PODS) throughout Sussex County.
