This video is the fifth of six videos in the series, "A New Year's Parade Ceremony: An Up-close Look at Yamato's Fire Department." The New Year's Parade Ceremony aims to raise awareness of the fire service, deepening its understanding and trust, and sharing with citizens the mindset they need to prepare for disasters that year. The Yamato City Fire Department's New Year's Parade Ceremony has traditionally been held at Hikijidai Park's Reiwa Square, but was canceled this year due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19. The Yamato City Fire Department Headquarters has viewed this situation as a new opportunity and decided to produce a video of the New Year's Parade Ceremony so that many people can watch it at their convenience. Rather than focusing on traditional ceremonial rites, the video takes advantage of the unique characteristics of video to create six videos that focus on the "behind the scenes" of Yamato's fire department, a style that is rarely seen. In particular, the "Fire Brigade Edition," "Rescue Team Edition," "Fire Brigade Edition," and "Ambulance Team Edition" feature key figures in each episode, showcasing their activities as they truly are. *Filming took precautions to prevent infection. ■05 Ambulance Team Edition Ambulance teams provide first aid to those suddenly ill or injured in traffic accidents or disasters, transporting them to hospitals or other facilities. Ambulance team member Iijima joined the ambulance team with the desire to be the first to save a life. This video captures her daily life as a front-line rescuer. In between calls, she practices intravenous access and simulated training with rescue teams, honing her skills every day.
