In this free Excel video lesson, we will learn how to use a professional Excel timesheet spreadsheet, where you can register and control all your company's employees, entries and exits, overtime, hours owed, total hours, night hours, control entry and exit times, status, presence, days off, absences of each employee, the day of the week worked, the date worked, have a summarized and organized time bank by month and year, and know the current time bank of each employee. The spreadsheet has three tabs: Timesheet, Employees, and Time Bank. In the timesheet tab, you can record the clock-in and clock-out times for each employee, including information such as the date and day of the week. Excel then retrieves this information; you click and select the employee's name, choose their status (present, day off, or absence), and enter their normal working hours. This last option is very important because it allows you to work with various possibilities: 8-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts, 6-hour shifts, 4-hour shifts, and you can even manage shift schedules. In other words, you have great flexibility in terms of normal working hours. You enter the clock-in and clock-out times, and then again, the Excel system calculates each line, including the overall total for all employees, a specific employee, a specific month, or by status, as well as the total hours worked, total overtime, total hours owed, and total night hours. In addition to being able to print this sheet as a PDF to send to accounting or even keep a historical record of the hours worked, days off, and absences of each employee, as well as the entire team. In the employees tab, you will register the name of each employee, their CPF (Brazilian tax identification number), and their initial time bank. Based on this information, Excel will automatically calculate the current time bank for each registered employee and also provide an analysis of the number of days worked, the number of days off, and the number of absences for these employees according to a start and end date filter, so that you can accurately analyze how many times each employee worked, was absent, or had days off. In the time bank tab, you will be able to analyze a summary based on the employee's name and the selected year, month by month, from January to December, showing the total hours worked, total overtime hours, total hours owed, total night hours, and the accumulated time bank, month by month.
