Early Retirement Cottage renovation 1 year on…

It is just over 1 year since we early retired at the age of 51, relocated to the Yorkshire Dales and took on our FIRST and ONLY renovation challenge. From the moment we saw our cottage we could see the potential, but little did we know what work it would entail. Having no practical DIY skills, it was going to be quite a project... Join us as we take you around the cottage as it is today, one year later and look back on the changes we have made and the challenges that we faced. We always wanted the project to provide our forever early retirement home, and we delighted that we have got that. We just love coming home from our adventures to our little cottage in the Dales. We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We retired from teaching at the age of 51 in the summer of 2022. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
