Doctor Protest Enters Day 4; Health Services Hit Across Odisha, Talks Scheduled Today

To manage the crisis, AYUSH and contractual doctors have been deployed at several government hospitals. The Odisha Government has stepped up efforts to end the protest. Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling is scheduled to hold discussions with representatives of the Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) at 11:30 am today. The association has agreed to participate in the meeting. OMSA has stated that doctors will withdraw the agitation only if the State Government provides a written assurance on fulfilling their demands.
