The Most Underrated Grocery Store Flower (I Made 2 Stunning Arrangements)

I write flower profiles, chronicle my flower adventures and share flower stories. In this video I made two arrangements with the most underrated grocery store flower - alstroemeria. There are several reasons to love this flower: Availability Variety of Colors Affordability Longevity Long Stems with multiple blooms One way to really get great value from alstroemeria is to arrange single stems in bud vases. The multi-bloomed stems create a big impact with a small budget. Once you have cut the stems to the proper length, just pop one in each vase. Cluster the vases together or spread them out. Alstroemeria in bud vases are a versatile and affordable flower display. My second arrangement was an alstroemeria and belles of Ireland design. Due to the all of the color options of alstroemeria I found at the grocery store, all I needed were a few stems of belles to complete the arrangement. I chose a vase with a wide base and a narrower opening which allowed the stems to splay and have room to show off all of their flowers. It also let the curvy belles twist their way through the alstroemeria, be tall and give the arrangement even more height. My medium-sized arrangement only used seven stems of alstoemeria and five stems of belles of Ireland. The total cost of flowers was just $12. Not only was I able to make a beautiful arrangement on a budget, these flowers will last two weeks or more in the vase. I love working as a florist and running my business, Local Color Flowers, founded in 2008. I make videos about flowers (obvi).
