Use This Color Trick To Create An Upscale Look For Your Flower Arrangement

Hello Flower Friends! I'm Ellen. Sign up for my FREE weekly newsletter, FlowerNerd (https://ellenfrostflowers.substack.com/) for more flower fun! I write flower profiles, chronicle my flower adventures and share flower stories. In this video I designed a flower arrangement using an analogous color palette for an upscale look. I selected red/violet ball dahlias to be my focal flowers. I then used a color wheel to find the analogous colors I needed for the rest of the flowers. The wheel indicated purple and true red to be the colors to use for my arrangement. I had several flowers in this range. Violet celosia were my secondary focal flowers. Those were supported by dark purple and lavender lisianthus. I used large red cockscomb sparingly. Purple gomphrena and ageratum added texture and variety with their small blooms. I started this arrangement with ninebark. It is a dark foliage with some hints of red to set the stage in the background. I ended the design with jewels of opar which fit in the palette. Its tiny balls created interest and a celebratory effect. The analogous color palette feels intentional and cohesive. It is calming and pleasing to the eye. The color combinations connote an upscale flower arrangement. Aren't we fancy!
