Historic Train Engines Scrapped! The End of NRE Dixmoor
On October 24th, 2020, I visited National Railway Equipment in Dixmoor, Illinois to see what was left of the facility. Back in August, NRE announced that they would be closing their Silvis and Dixmoor facilities. As a result, a large amount of locomotives were either moved or scrapped. Many rare locomotives were lost, including a Metra F40C. I flew my drone over the property one last time to see what was left. Thanks for watching! Like what you see? Subscribe!
