For 21 days straight, I disappeared into some of the most remote corners of the American Southwest. I hiked hundreds of miles through deep canyons, free solo climbed exposed cliffs, rappelled into places few people will ever see, and bushcrafted my way through some of the harshest terrain in America. Along the way, I discovered ancient cliff dwellings, hidden rooms, pottery, arrowheads, spear points, rock art, forgotten camps, and incredible evidence of the people who once called these canyons home. Some of these places haven’t seen many visitors in generations. Standing among these ancient ruins, it felt like stepping back in time. Then, after one of my biggest discoveries yet, I found myself surrounded by coyotes deep in the wilderness with nobody around for miles.
