DIY Etching Press

Do-it-yourself is coming to printmakers who want a universal, personal-sized etching press according to Bill Ritchie. He has been making "halfwood" etching presses going on ten years, and is convinced that "small is beautiful" in the printmaking world, especially for people who are in the learning mode and, as this video shows, not only making their own prints but also making their own press. Bill makes his own videos, too, and has added some tongue-in-cheek background.
