Mallorca - Fastpacking the GR221
In March of 2024, we travelled to Mallorca to fastpack parts of the GR221. The GR221 is a 150KM trail that traverses the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountain range that lies along the northwest coast of the island. We started in Cala Sant Vicenç and headed down through Pollença to the mountain village of Lluc. From there we worked our way through the highest points of the mountain range to Soller and Refugi de Muleta. Our final day took us along the coast and idyllic villages of Deià, Valldemossa before reaching our final stop in Banyalbufar. The weather was typical for spring with a mixture of sun and rain, we also frequently faced strong winds, especially in the higher parts of the route.
