Looking for an activity that you can do with the whole family? Why not climb Mt. Makiling in Laguna. Mt. Makiling Natural Park is now open, and it is a perfect place to be closer to nature. Climbing is not difficult, and anyone with an active lifestyle can trek to many of its attractions inside the park. It is also possible to drive to UPLB entrance to Mt. Makiling, but this time we are showing you how to get there using public transportation. Entrance to the park is only 30 pesos (with 20% discount for seniors, PWDs, students). The trail is properly marked with station numbers (up to Station 30 at Peak 2). You can visit Flat Rocks, Rainforest Park and Mudspring. You also get the chance to see endemic trees of the Philppines, Rafflesia flowers, and the two local plants featured on the 5- and 10-peso coins, the Jade Vines and the Kapa Kapa, respectively. #makiling #uplb #mudspring
