The Stratos from Kerner is designed to excel at seedbed preparation after plowing and cultivating, as well as stubble cultivation – at least under favorable conditions. traction magazine has gained initial experience with it on rapeseed and spelt stubble. Interim conclusion: The Stratos can be used for stubble cultivation, but it will not replace specialized implements like compact disc harrows or cultivators on farms. However, as a fine cultivator for seedbed preparation, it offers an additional application in stubble cultivation under suitable conditions. The full test report will be published in the September/October 2014 issue of traction, with further testing in seedbed preparation to follow in spring 2015.
