Kerner Corona mit Wechselwalze im top agrar-Test

The cultivator and packer roller are no longer a fixed pair in the new Corona. Kerner was the first manufacturer to showcase a genuine quick-change system for the rear roller. This, along with the interchangeable shares, makes cultivator use significantly more flexible. Three years ago, we explored the question of "cultivating with or without a roller." Both systems have their justification in practice. In difficult, wet conditions, it's better to use without a roller; in dry conditions, of course, with the most intensive reconsolidation possible. Being able to do both would make the cultivator even more versatile. Hence our conclusion back then: A quick-change system for the roller, as has proven successful with the shares, would be good for always cultivating optimally without tinkering. We found exactly such a system at Kerner at the last Agritechnica. But it's not just the tool-free coupling and uncoupling of the roller that's new, but the entire cultivator. We tested the Corona for a season – with and without the roller, and we gained some interesting insights.
