Uttenweiler (D - BW) Die Glocken der Pfarrkirche St. Simon und Judas

This video presents the bells e1 -g1 -h1 -d2 -g2 [mi3 -sol3 -si3 -re4 -sol4] of S. Simon church in Uttenweiler The oldest bell was made in 1518 by bell foundry Biberacher Gießhütte. As a famous bell of this time, it was called Susanna. In the time of "Thirty Years' War" it was feared the bell could attack military forces or raiders to Uttenweiler. So back then the big bell was deliberately damaged with iron nails to weaken its sound. These nails can be seen today. In 1585 and 1588, the bells [3+4] were made by bell foundry "Biberacher Gießhuette". The little bell was made in 1594 by famous bell founder Wolgang Neidhardt in Ulm. In 1654, bell N°[2] was made by bell founder Leonhard Ernst in Memmingen. This peal represents monastery peals in southern Germany between 16. and 17. century and is almost unchanged since this age.
