J’ai tenté le marathon en moins de 3h…

In 2023, I started taking up endurance sports. I knew absolutely nothing about them. My first triathlon was the goal, and I completed it. But I wanted more; I was left wanting more. In 2024, I embarked on the biggest challenge of my life: finishing an Ironman. Which I did in 9 hours and 52 minutes. And after that, a void. I lost the desire to train, mentally and physically exhausted, I felt lost. 2025 was shaping up to be the most difficult year of my life, with profound changes. And that's where this desire to run a marathon in under 3 hours was born. The desire came naturally. I felt an increasing urge to run, without stressing myself out. I decided to follow this desire, while trying to apply what I was learning that year. I wanted to take my time. Ten months to prepare for this sub-3-hour marathon. I listened to my body. I shared moments. I put enjoyment at the heart of every outing. I went through countless phases of doubt and self-questioning. And then came race day, the bib number and the starting line, and that strange feeling of being exactly where you're meant to be. The result? 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 44 seconds. But crossing that line is more than just a time. It's the reward for everything that goes unseen from the outside: the sacrifices, the choices, the self-reflection, and the confidence you build in silence. Believe in yourself; no one else will.
