Irrigreen Installation: How To Install Your Own Irrigreen System Like A PRO!

This video shows the heart of the Irrigreen Irrigation installation. It was back-breaking work digging all of the trenches by hand. Over 500 feet! The weather didn't cooperate either. Once the trenches were dug, I started plumbing in the 1 inch schedule 40 pipe, starting at the previously installed back-flow preventer. I quickly noticed (after installing 20 ft of pipe) that I forgot to install my master valve. I purchased a Hunter ICV to use as my master valve, and that prevents the entire sprinkler line from being pressurized while the sprinkler heads aren't running. Without that device, you could experience a major water loss from leaks or potential flooding. I highly recommend installing a device like this for this installation! Once all of the lines were plumbed in, I tested the system for leaks. Next, I flushes all of the lines before connecting the sprinkler heads. The easiest part of this installation was connecting the sprinkler heads and wiring them together, daisy-chain style, from head to head. Because I installed shut-off valves, that was a convenient place to store all of the extra cable that wasn't needed, and covered it all with 6 in valve boxes. ___________________________________________________________________________ Video Chapters: 0:00 Introduction 0:27 Trenching begins 2:52 Plumbing installation 4:14 Maste valve installation 8:08 Leak testing 8:52 Flushing lines 9:13 Controller installation 9:54 Connecting sprinkler heads 15:11 Closing #sprinklersystem #irrigreen #irrigationsystem #lawncare #plumbing
