You’re Watering Your Lawn WRONG — Here’s the FIX

If your lawn is turning brown, drying out, or looking stressed, the problem might not be lack of water, it might be how you’re watering it. In this video, I explain the best time to water your lawn, the two worst times to avoid, and how much water your lawn actually needs each week. Most homeowners water too often for too short of a time, which can lead to shallow roots and weaker grass. For most cool-season lawns, aim for about 1 inch of water per week and focus on longer, deeper watering instead of watering every day. I’m a solo lawn care owner in Maine helping homeowners fix common lawn problems and take better care of their grass.
