House Fire First Due Engine (Cambridge, MD)

Story by PIO Tyler Jones 1-12-26: Box Alarm 1300blk Stone Boundary rd Early this morning around 2am, volunteers from Rescue Fire Company were dispatched for a reported structure fire with possible entrapment. Chief 1 arrived on scene to find a single-story residence with smoke showing from the eaves. After completing a 360 size-up, it was determined the fire originated in the rear corner of the home. Engine 1-2 and Tower 1-1 responded, the engine crew stretched handlines while the tower crew conducted a primary search shortly after arriving on scene. Engine 1-2’s crew quickly knocked down the fire, and Tower 1-1’s crew reported a negative primary search. As additional units arrived on scene, crews assisted with overhaul and cleanup operations. The occupant of the home was evaluated by EMS and refused transport to the hospital.
